Your Website Should Reflect Your Business Goals

Hey Reader,

Listen... I need to ask you something important today:

Does your website actually reflect what you want MORE of in your business?

Here's the thing about websites - they're not just digital business cards.

They're powerful attraction tools that can either bring you exactly what you want... or leave you wondering why you're not getting the clients and opportunities you're dreaming about.

Quick version if you're short on time:

  • Whatever you want more of in your business needs to be CLEAR and PROMINENT on your website
  • Your homepage should immediately show visitors what you're prioritizing in your business
  • Your portfolio/case studies should showcase the exact type of work you want more of
  • Every page needs strategic calls-to-action aligned with your business goals

Still here? Let me break this down for you.

Think of your website as a vision board for your business. If you don't put something front and center, how will the universe (or in this case, your visitors) know to send it your way?

I'm not gonna lie... I see this mistake all the time:

A coach who wants more group programs but whose website only highlights 1:1 work.

A speaker who wants more gigs but hides their speaking page in a dropdown menu.

A designer who wants higher-paying clients but only showcases budget-friendly work.

Like attracts like in business. Period.

If you want more speaking gigs, don't bury that information on page 5 of your site!

Make it visible on your home page, add a clear call to action, and give it priority placement on your services page.

Want to attract dream clients?

Then, your portfolio better include work from past dream clients.

Otherwise, how will new ones see themselves in your business?

Here's why this matters:

When your website clearly shows what you want more of, you're essentially telling the universe (and Google, and potential clients) exactly what to send your way.

Here's what you should do:

  1. Take 20 minutes this week to audit your website. Does it actually reflect what you want more of in your business?
  2. Make a list of the top 3 things you want to attract, then check if they're prominently featured on your site.
  3. Update your homepage, services page, and portfolio to align with your current business goals. And you DO NOT have to do this in real time where people can see you making changes. If you are on WordPress, download the Yoast Duplicate Post plugin (it's FREE) and use the rewrite and republish option. If you need help, let me know!

Need help making these changes?

That's literally what I do!

You can always book a strategy session to talk through what you're trying to attract more of, and I can help you make sure that your website is sending the right message.

P.S. What do YOU want to see more of in your business this year? Reply and let me know - I'd love to hear about your goals!
