These email myths are costing you leads

Hey Reader,

Over the last few weeks, we've talked about what email marketing actually is, how it's different from your email service provider, and even how to choose the right platforms for your business.

If you missed any of those, you can check them out here.

But before I hang up my hat on this email conversation... there's one more thing I need to cover.

Because none of that other stuff matters if you're still letting these myths talk you out of actually doing it.

Here's an overview of what's covered:

  • Using regular Gmail for business is hurting your credibility more than you realize
  • Email marketing is actually MORE important for small businesses than big ones
  • You don't need thousands of subscribers for email marketing to be worth it
  • Social media has NOT replaced email, and building on rented land is risky
  • Most of the shared myths aren't about facts...They're about fear.

Let's dive into it...

I am sharing six of the most common email marketing myths I hear from small business owners, and more importantly, what to do instead.

Because the businesses that grow are the ones that invest in proper systems, even when it feels uncomfortable.

They choose strategy over shortcuts.

They build infrastructure that supports growth instead of duct-taping solutions together that end up breaking under pressure.

Email marketing feels scary because it's unfamiliar. But staying small because you're scared is even scarier.

Email Marketing Myths

Hey Reader, This is not meant to scare you. I promise. However, I want to talk about something that doesn't get nearly enough attention in the "so you have a WordPress site" conversation. Plugin vulnerabilities. If you are not interested in WordPress updates, you can update your preferences to personalize the content you wish to receive at the bottom of this email. I know this may sound scary. It's not. I want to start by saying this: WordPress is still one of the best decisions you can make...

Hey Reader! I was talking to a friend about a new website yesterday, and she hit me with this: “I know zero about websites lol” And I told her exactly what I’m about to tell you... most people don’t. And honestly, that’s not even a problem. In the simplest context, there are really only three things that make up every website you’ve ever visited. Doesn’t matter if it’s a big corporate site or a one-page portfolio. Same three things. Here they are: Domain The domain is your address on the...

WordPress7.0 Dropped Here is what you need to know

Hey Reader, I am fresh off a week off celebrating my niece's graduation. And while I was OOO, WordPress dropped a new update. So let's talk about it... Let me start by telling you that every time a major WordPress update drops, I do the same thing. I sit back, grab my coffee, and watch the community lose its minds about it. Because here's the thing... There are always two kinds of WordPress people. The ones who update the second it's available (bless them, truly), and the ones who wait a week...
