Choosing an email platform shouldn't feel like picking a life partner

Hey Reader,

Can we continue our talk about email platforms for another minute?

Because I know choosing one feels like you're making some huge, permanent decision that you'll regret forever if you get it wrong.

And listen... I get it.

There are literally DOZENS of options out there, they all seem to do the same thing, and somehow they all have wildly different pricing structures that make zero sense.

So you end up frozen.

Not choosing anything.

Or worse... choosing based on which one your business bestie uses without knowing if it actually fits YOUR needs.

Here's what we're covering today:

  • The "best" platform is the one that fits YOUR business (not everyone else's)
  • Free plans are great starters, but know what you're giving up
  • Features matter less than actually using the platform consistently
  • Integration with your other tools can make or break your workflow

Let me break this down for you...

Here's what I hear all the time:

"I started with [Platform A] because it was free, but now I have 5,000 subscribers and I can't afford to upgrade. Should I switch? Will I lose all my people? Is it even worth the headache?"

Or...

"I'm paying for [Platform B] but I only use like 10% of the features. Am I wasting money?"

Real talk... both of these situations happen because people chose their platform without really understanding what they needed (or what they were signing up for).

The thing about email platforms is that they're NOT all the same, even though they look like it on the surface.

Some are built for e-commerce.
Some are built for creators.
Some are built for agencies managing multiple clients.

And choosing the wrong fit? That's what leads to frustration, wasted money, and eventually that overwhelming migration project you've been avoiding.

So I broke it all down. What actually matters when choosing a platform, how to know which features you REALLY need (versus the shiny ones that just look cool), and how to make a decision you won't regret six months from now.

Email Marketing Myths

Hey Reader, This is not meant to scare you. I promise. However, I want to talk about something that doesn't get nearly enough attention in the "so you have a WordPress site" conversation. Plugin vulnerabilities. If you are not interested in WordPress updates, you can update your preferences to personalize the content you wish to receive at the bottom of this email. I know this may sound scary. It's not. I want to start by saying this: WordPress is still one of the best decisions you can make...

Hey Reader! I was talking to a friend about a new website yesterday, and she hit me with this: “I know zero about websites lol” And I told her exactly what I’m about to tell you... most people don’t. And honestly, that’s not even a problem. In the simplest context, there are really only three things that make up every website you’ve ever visited. Doesn’t matter if it’s a big corporate site or a one-page portfolio. Same three things. Here they are: Domain The domain is your address on the...

WordPress7.0 Dropped Here is what you need to know

Hey Reader, I am fresh off a week off celebrating my niece's graduation. And while I was OOO, WordPress dropped a new update. So let's talk about it... Let me start by telling you that every time a major WordPress update drops, I do the same thing. I sit back, grab my coffee, and watch the community lose its minds about it. Because here's the thing... There are always two kinds of WordPress people. The ones who update the second it's available (bless them, truly), and the ones who wait a week...
