Should You Start a Blog?

Hey Reader,

Listen… I know you read that subject line and might be thinking... “Another thing to add to my never-ending business to-do list?”

But here’s why I’m bringing this up today – I’ve seen too many small businesses missing out on a game-changing opportunity because they think blogging is just extra work.

Let me tell you what’s actually happening here…

Think of your website like a house.

Right now, without a blog, it might be a beautiful home with all the right features. But without regular content, it’s like having a house in a neighborhood where the lights are always off.

Nobody knows if anyone’s home!

Here’s the quick version if you’re short on time:

  • Blogging brings more visitors to your website (hello, Google visibility!)
  • It positions you as the go-to expert in your field
  • It gives you content to share on social media and in emails
  • It helps convert visitors into paying clients

Still here?

Let me break this down for you…

The thing about content marketing is that it’s like planting a garden. Each blog post is a seed that can:

  • Answer questions your ideal clients are already asking Google
  • Show up in search results months or even years after you write it
  • Build trust with potential clients before they ever reach out
  • Give you content to repurpose across all your marketing channels

I’m not gonna lie… starting a blog does take work.

But most people don’t realize that you don’t need to post every day or even every week to see results.

What matters is consistency and quality over quantity.

You know what I mean?

It’s better to publish one solid, helpful post a month than to stress yourself out trying to post weekly content that doesn’t serve your audience.

Here’s why this matters for your business:

Research shows businesses with blogs get 67% more leads than those without.

That’s because every blog post is an opportunity to:

  • Showcase your expertise
  • Help your ideal clients solve problems
  • Build trust with your audience
  • Improve your website’s SEO

Ready to get started but feeling overwhelmed? You have options!

Next week, I’ll share my simple framework for creating blog content that actually brings in business. No fluff, just practical steps you can implement right away.

Want help setting up your blog the right way? Or help coming up with and planning out content for the blog? Hit reply and let me know – that’s literally what I do!

P.S. Don’t forget to back up your website! (You know I had to throw that in there 😉)
